my EFL classroom

I have lots of dreams about my classroom in the future but I need lost of experience and knowledge to fulfil my dreams. In my opinion if I want to be a good and qualified teacher, I should know the needs and levels of my students. The other important point is to appeal to the different intelligents because in a class I will have students having different intelligents and I should prepare my activities considering their intelligents, but it is really hard to appeal to the all students in a class in my opinion I need lots of experience to do this. Providing communication in the classroom is also very important for a language teacher, I will be an English teacher and in my opinion every people learn a new language for communication so  it is important for me providing communication in the class. To provide the communication I will use English as much as possible in the class but if it is needed I can use the native language in the class. Another important point is to adopt a student centered education, as a teacher I should direct the students motivate them and give feedbacks to them. But while doing all of them I should be a democratic teacher and I should give the chance to choose and I should ask their ideas about the activities or I should ask their ideas about me and my teaching style and sometimes want them to criticize me.
As a good teacher, I should also benefit from different approaches and methods, I should not use just one approach or method I should look for best of best for my students. And the last thing is to updateing and revising my knowledge I should always follow the new trends about ELT and try to benefit from them.
These are the important points for me to be a good teacher. I hope I can put them into the practice when I start to teach.

what is your approach to English teaching????

Actually it is very hard for me to answer this question because I just know all of the approaches and metods used in ELT but I haven't found so many chance to practice them so I haven't decide yet, what is my approach??? But in my opinion a teacher should not use just one approach to teach the different topics or different skills, each of them needs different approaches and metods to teach along with these, the different intelligents and levels of the students is also important to determine the suitable approach. For example if you say that "yes.. I am a communicative teacher and I always use communicative approach during my all classes" it is a big nonsense, you can not always be a commicative teacher you can not teach all the subjects with this one for example if you teach vocabulary you have to translate it into the mother tongues of the students or your studets are beginners you can not talk in English all the time while you are teaching a subject because they won't understand what you say and this can cause a prejudice against the language.
To sum up a teacher should not have a specific approach he/she should find the best of best all the times and to be a good teacher and to choose the best approach you also need lots of experience...

The English Language and Me :S

I was ten and I studied in Primary School when I first started to study English language, I always hated English until the High School it was the most boring lesson for me after Mathematics but thanks to my Englis teacher at the high school I managed to love it and started to study English at the High School and at the University . To be honest I never love English with my whole hearth I just study it to find a job easily and it is spoken all around the world so I have to learn it to survive:) But sometimes knowing English can be enjoyable for example, in Turkey not all the people know English so if I say sth secret to my friend ,who knows English, I can use it :)  And the other advantage of it is to provide me a  chance to come to Denmark thanks to it I came to Denmark, I will visit lots of places in Europa and I can communicate with the people here easily. However it never keeps my mother tongue's place I sometimes hate to speak English to communicate with the people because I can not express all of my feeling in English as I do in my mother tongue, but I have to use it to survive:(

It can be a bit absurb to hear such kinds of things from an English teacher canditate but I just chose to learn it because of social and economical reasons.

study trip to copenhagen

 It was to hard to get up early for me we got up at six and catch the train to copenhagen. Everbody slept  in the train except Inma:)) It was a sleepy train trip. We arrived to Copenhagen and meet with Peter and Anne Cristine. First we went a school it was soo different from the schools in Turkey especially the teacher.A teacher met us it was too hard for me to believe that he is a teacher with his long appereance and casual clothes but he was so funney:)) there were lots of things in the school attract my attention because everything was diffrent from our schools in Turkey but more enjoyable and confortable. Firstly students don't have to wear uniforms at school classroos are so colourful there are different classrooms for different purposes for example drama, music, art...It was soo nice for children to improve diffrent hobbies and discover their different talents... There were a music room in the school and there were lots of different insturments in it it was also so nice for children it is impossible in Turkey to find a classromm for music you can just find such a room at the university while we were in thapt music room I consider how lucky they are:) We visited diffrent parts of the school and learned many things about education in Denmark as far as I observe, Danish teachers adopt  ''by doing and living'' education style while students enjoy they also learn the subjects. I liked it too much.Danish education style looks like Village Institutes in Turkey once upon a time . They were found for the education of villagers after the foundation of Turkish Republic but closed because of political issues. After we visited the school we went a long street it was so crowded and noisy I missed it to much,  moeover  I saw many different Turkish restaurants and l was too happy too see them:)))
We went a cemetery and people use it as a park I was really astonished because it is impossible in Turkey people are afraid of the cemeteries and if you went to cemetery ho have a rest and listen to music or read book people think that you have some psychologic problems:))) but that cemetery had a different atmosphere and I were not afraid and then we went to Peter's home for lunch he had prepared some  meal for us I had not tasted before, it was so delicious. but the most interesting things for me were Turkish coffee, lokum and baklava I loved them too much:) Again thank you so much Peter:)) And then we left from the Peter's home for observation. Our topic was food and we talked with lots of people and ask questions to them they said many useful things for us and we noticed that Danish people try to feed healthily I was a very nice trip I enjoyed so much with my friends and I loved Copenhagen too much:)))

first impressions about Denmark

I have lived in Denmark for three weeks and I am triying to adopt to life in here. Everything is so different from Turkey I noticed it as soon as I arrived to the airport. Everthing was so systemactic at the airport and ıt wasn't crowded. When we passed  to the waiting saloon I totally noticed that from now on I am not in Turkey people were reading books and newspapers and it was so silent it is impossible in Turkey:) and the most intersting thing that I encountered was people wondering with bare foot. And we waited for 4 hours at the airport and then we moved to the Vordingborg. The system is a bit expensive and  differnt from Turkey but people are so helpful and helped us so much and thanks to them we arrived to the Vordingborg easily. It was Saturday when we arrived to here and it was 12 or 13 but there was nearly nobody on the streets just a few people in front of the station moreover there  were more bicycles than people in front  of the station. Very old people also use bicycles it is so nice. All the Danishes I have met so far are blond and have blue eyes. Another thing that attracted my attention in Denmark that people never paying attention to what they wear:) The most interesting thing that attract my attention is the traffic all people are so respectful to each others and to the pedestrians they alwasys obey the traffic rules and drivers stop before the red light lights  they never run a red light,  it is impossible in Turkey so I have some difficulties to adopt the traffic in Denmark and I am worrying about someone will pipe me off the police because sometimes I forget to wait the green light for the pedestrians and go accros and also it is very intersting to see people waiting on the pavement ,although there is no car on the way, they wait for the green light for pedestrians it is again very very impossible in Turkey. To sum up I love Denmark so much and I am trying to adopt the systemeatic life in Denmark...
